2019-08-06: This little project of mine is dead. Siduction doesn't support remastering and I don't have enough desire to understand how their scripts work in order to build it myself. Sorry.

2019-12-30: I have created my own distro based on Fedora called LivePower. You can get it here here. Donations are welcome. You can use it as an alternative to SystemRescueCd which has seen zero activity for quite some time.

Siduction is a distribution based on Debian unstable. It aims at being a fast and bleeding edge distribution while still usable for productive work. It also wants to widen the testbase for Debian unstable. siduction wants to stay as close to Debian as possible, follow the spirit of the DFSG and the debian social contract and work with upstream in ever possible way.

Since Siduction originates in Germany, its developers cannot include some very useful network utilities like tcpdump or even telnet (sic!).

Here you can download a custom enhanced Siduction respin which contains Mozilla Firefox and other useful network and system utilities.

The next release will contain the following applications: none at the moment (please, send your proposals to my e-mail (google for it) or add them below in the comments block).

Warning: the support for all languages other than English has been removed to reduce the image size.

2011.02.07: from now on this Aptosid respin is compressed using XZ, thus with all the additions it weighs 15% less than the original.
2013.05.24: ooops, I've forgotten to append the information about my modifications to the original image. You can fetch it here
2016.02.28 replaced with Siduction 15.1.0.

AptoSID is dead. Their forum is dead. It hasn't seen new releases for almost two years already, "Install it and use it as a Debian distro", no thanks, I need a LiveCD distro with fresh software.

• Fully Internet ready. Mozilla Firefox web broweser
• Can play almost all video and audio files formats (moc/ffplay).
